This 3x3" oil painting depicts a raccoon skull with mushrooms and flowers growing on the surface and in the sockets. This painting is a bit of a self-portrait and the beginning of an exploration into skull paintings.
We often hide ourselves so completely that we eventually become lost.
Creation becomes the path back to ourselves.
